Element: Plan and prepare for monitoring training area/range activities
  • Visits to range and training area activities are planned in accordance with Range Standing Orders and activity schedules
  • Relevant instructions are identified, obtained and agreed in accordance with Range Standing Orders
  • Purpose and outcomes of visit are clarified and agreed in accordance with Range Standing Orders
  • Clearances and access to activities are established in accordance with Range Standing Orders
       
Element: Evaluate compliance of training area/range activities
  • Training area and range activities are monitored in accordance with Range Standing Orders and relevant instructions
  • Training activity compliance with Range Standing Orders, relevant policy and instructions is monitored
  • Contractor activities are monitored in accordance with Range Standing Orders and relevant controls
       
Element: Control training area/range activities
  • Non-compliant training activities are identified and non-compliance is indicated to relevant commanders
  • Training area and range users are briefed in accordance with Range Standing Orders and relevant instructions
  • Coordination issues are resolved, if necessary through direct contact and discussions
  • Access and egress is controlled in those circumstances where required
  • Coordination and compliance between users and landholders is established on non-Defence property

  • Post exercise reports are raised when appropriate in accordance with Range Standing Orders and relevant instructions
  • Non-compliance reports are initiated and forwarded to relevant authorities in accordance with Range Standing Orders and relevant contracts
